On the Trail of General Alexander Suvorov in Switzerland

In September and October 1799, General Alexander Suvorov and his 21,000-strong army crossed over four different mountain passes into Switzerland.

Travelling in the footsteps of the Russian General, I will bring you to Suvorov’s battle sites, and also to some of his stopover locations in Switzerland.

We will drive through one of the passes which Suvorov’s army had to cover on foot, and we will encounter various monuments erected in honour of Suvorov’s historic Alpine crossing.

We will also visit the monastery where the Russian General spent two nights.
