Erwin Knows the back country high in the Alps. What an incredible day! Erwin knows so much!!! It was so excellent to have a private day tour in a comfy Range Rover of the swiss alps! Its true any Swiss person is probably comfortable driving the windy cow covered roads of the alps, but Erwin Shines because he knows several private quiet corners. He took us to a place high in the alps where there was a mountain lodge with dinner, we were the only americans there... possibly the only americans who had ever been there. They did not even speak German up there, some weird other mountain language. It was perfect 10/10 would recommend!

Tailor-made Bollywoodtour with the real expert We experienced an amazing and extremely interesting day with Erwin. He showed us the beauty of Switzerland while also showing us the places where famous Bollywood movies such as DDLJ were shot. We were truly mindblown by all his knowledge. A true blast and definently tailor-made to our interests. He is the real expert when it comes to Bollywood and it was one of the best guided tours we' ve experienced so far. Check it out it is definently worth it!

Fabulous Day! Fabulous Tour! Erwin provided us with a private, customized tour. We wanted to take in the tradition and country side of Switzerland. Erwin provided exactly that! He had a lot of interesting facts and knowledge of Switzerland. We got to experience a cheese factory and mountain roller coaster! Went to Appenzell, shopped in the quaint town, tried local sweets, and beer. Got lucky and got to see two cattle drives! Very fulfilling day.

Erwin is the man!!!! We contacted Erwin to find our roots in Switzerland. We couldn't have found a better person to lead us on our Swiss adventure. Erwin contacted a local genealogist who found some great information that we didn't have before. He then located a family member who we didn't know existed! What a great surprise. We would have never have located our relative without Erwin's help. As others have said, Erwin went above and beyond spending more time with us than expected. We saw many parts of Switzerland that were awesome. His knowledge of the history of Switzerland and his ability to translate from German to English was great. We would highly recommend Erwin to anyone.

One of the best day in Switzerland Erwin's tour was wonderful! We had such a blast, we are a big family of 7 with 3 older folks and 1 baby, Erwin was very accomodating to all ages, he had a nice clean baby seat ready for us, drinks even snacks for the trip. He took the time to explain where were we going and asked for our opinions on the different things can could see, we even overran the stated time for the day tour. Erwin didn't mind and he wanted us not to rush and see everything comfortably. We ended up learning so much not only about Appenzelland which was what our tour was for, but about all things Swiss. Truely a day well spent. Do not miss when in Zurich!

Genealogy Tour My mother and I were planning to travel to Switzerland to explore our family genealogy. I found Erwin Tours online after some searching and read his great reviews. He was quick to respond to my inquiries and we were able to book a tour with him to visit the village where my great-grandparents were born. Erwin also found a local genealogist who was very comprehensive in his work for us. Our experience with Erwin Tours was very positive. It is highly recommended if you want to experience the beauty of Switzerland as well as learn about the history and culture. We had a very enjoyable tour. And, Erwin gave recommendations for my travel itinerary through Switzerland after we finished our genealogy tour with him.

Bollywood-Tour durch Interlaken Wir führten im Berner Oberland ein Klassenlager zum Thema "Die Schweiz als Schauplatz und Drehort internationaler Filmproduktionen" durch und befassten uns unter anderem mit Bollywood-Filmen. In diesem Zusammenhang waren wir enorm froh, dass Erwin Fässler Zeit hatte, um mit uns eine Führung durch Interlaken zum Thema "55 Jahre Bollywood-Filme in der Schweiz" und zu Bollywood-Tourismus durchzuführen. Wir können uns nicht vorstellen, dass es dazu in der Schweiz einen kenntnissreicheren Experten gibt als Erwin! Er war uns auch dabei behilflich, die Drehorte verschiedener Bollywood-Filme in der Schweiz zu lokalisieren, die wir während der übrigen Woche besuchten. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler (von der Kantonsschule Zofingen) schätzten insbesondere Erwins Fachkenntnis und Begeisterung fürs Thema. Als besonderes Highlight besuchten wir am Ende noch einige Festsälle im Victoria-Jungfrau Hotel und liessen den Vormittag bei einem Mittagessen in einem indischen Restaurant ausklingen. Wir möchten uns bei Erwin Fässler ganz herzlich für diese interessante Tour bedanken und können ihn wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Passionate and knowledgeable guide We had a great tour with Erwin in his 4x4! My wife and I and our two children took a day tour visiting amazing and beautiful locations. We visited DDLJ locations and many other scenic spots that would have been difficult to find and travel to on our own. Erwin was very passionate about the locations he showed us and shared history and background bringing the locations to life. Definitely recommend.

Glorious Switzerland Our recent trip to Switzerland with Insight Vacations was booked through its sister company, Grand European Travel. This 8 day trip exceeded our expectations in every way. The itinerary, trip pace, accommodations, food, bus driver and tour guide were tops. We loved the variety of experiences planned within this itinerary. We did sign up for all the optional excursions with the exception of one and would highly recommend anyone taking this trip to "follow suit". My husband was reluctant to agree to this trip and came home proclaiming this was among the top trips we have taken. Being able to take in the fabulous scenery in a comfortable bus out of clean windows and not have to handle the portage, parking, and other excursion details was a plus. The highlights were excursions to the top of the snow covered Matterhorn amid the clouds via 3 cable cars and to the Stenserhorn's scenic green mountainscapes. From its top elevation, we could see for miles. We also liked the stop in Stressa, Italy on Lake Maggiore, boating to beautiful Isola Bella estate and gardens. We were charmed by the stay in Lucerne and cruise around beautiful Lake Lucerne. The historic Chillon Castle on Lake Lemand is definitely worth a stop. Last but not least was the UNESCO World Heritage highway bus trip through brilliantly green majestic mountains pierced by waterfalls on its slopes. These experiences are highlights only, for much more was included in this trip itinerary. One thought I had post trip was that although the trip was only 8 days, the traveler will return home feeling they have received a comprehensive tour of Switzerland without feeling pushed or rushed. I credit our Tour Director, Daniele Nannetti, for much of this as well as all the support staff of both Grand European Travel and Insight Vacations, with their behind the scene efforts. I highly recommend this tour.
